Paver sealing questions
Straight answers before you request an estimate.
How much does paver sealing cost?
Paver sealing is quoted per property. Square footage, the current condition of the pavers, how much joint sand is missing and the finish you choose all move the price, so there's no honest one-size number. The estimate is free and there's no obligation.
How long does paver sealing last in Florida?
A properly applied seal typically lasts about three to five years in Central Florida. Full sun, heavy vehicle traffic and pool chemicals push it toward the shorter end; shaded walkways last longer.
What is paver sanding, and why does it matter?
Paver sanding means sweeping fresh joint sand into the gaps between pavers after they're cleaned. The sand is what helps hold pavers together. When it washes out, pavers shift, weeds root in the joints and ants move in. Sealer goes on after sanding and helps bind the sand in place.
Which finish should I choose?
Natural adds a protective coat with little or no shine. Shiny adds a clear gloss. Wet Look deepens the color, as if the pavers were just rained on. Ask to see how each finish looks on your own pavers at the estimate.
How long before I can walk or drive on sealed pavers?
Foot traffic is usually fine after a few hours. Vehicles should generally stay off for 48 to 72 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. The contractor will give exact cure times for your job.
Can pavers that were never sealed be sealed now?
Yes. First-time sealing is common, and it often shows the biggest change because the pavers have been absorbing dirt and sun for years. They're deep cleaned and re-sanded before sealer goes on.
Can a pool deck be sealed?
Yes. Paver and travertine pool decks are commonly sealed. Ask the contractor which sealer they use around pools and whether it adds any slip resistance.
Do I need HOA approval?
Many Central Florida communities have HOA rules about exterior changes, and some cover paver color or finish. Sealing usually doesn't change the paver itself, but a glossy or wet-look finish can change how it reads, so check with your HOA if you're unsure.
Who actually does the work?
We Seal Pavers FL is a free referral service operated by The MC System Group, LLC. We're not a contractor. When you request an estimate, your request goes to an independent local paver sealing contractor who serves your area. That contractor gives the estimate, sets the price and does the work. Ask any contractor for proof of insurance before work begins.
Does it cost anything to use this site?
No. Requesting an estimate through this site is free for homeowners and there's no obligation to hire anyone.
