Natural, Wet Look or Shiny
The finish is the biggest visible decision on a paver sealing job. Tap each one to see it.
Pick how you want it to look
Most homeowners don't know this is a choice. It's the biggest decision on the job.

Side by side
| Finish | How it looks | Often chosen for |
|---|---|---|
| Natural | A protective coat with little or no shine. The pavers look clean and maintained, not treated. | Traditional homes, walkways, anyone who wants the paver to look like itself |
| Wet Look | Deepens the color like the pavers were just rained on. The biggest visible change on sun-faded pavers. | Faded driveways, red and multi-tone pavers, pool decks |
| Shiny | A clear gloss that brightens the area and makes the paver edges read crisp. | Entryways, lanais, covered patios |
A few things that affect the result
The same sealer looks different on different pavers. Older, sun-faded pavers usually show the biggest change with Wet Look. Light travertine changes less than red or multi-tone concrete pavers. Glossy finishes can be more slippery when wet, which matters around pools, so ask whether the contractor adds anything for traction.
Whatever you choose, the cleaning and re-sanding underneath matter more to how long it lasts than the finish itself.
